Road cycling and mountain biking in Alta Badia

The Dolomites are one of Europe’s most renowned cycling destinations. Alta Badia combines legendary mountain passes, varied trails and scenic tours to create a cycling hotspot that delights mountain bikers, road cyclists and e-bikers alike.
Classics such as the Maratona dles Dolomites and Sellaronda, or passes including Campolongo, Falzarego and Valparola, show exactly why cyclists from all over the world come here.

Hiking in the Dolomites

After a day in the mountains around San Cassiano, you return a little different from the way you set out. Perhaps tired, perhaps exhausted. But clear-headed and full of memories. At Lagazuoi, tunnels were carved into the rock by soldiers during the First World War – walk through them and you emerge on the other side with a different perspective on the mountain. A little further on, the Fanes high plateau opens up – one of the most beautiful and impressive areas of the Dolomites. And anyone who has seen the Armentara meadows in full bloom will not forget the sight in a hurry. Hiking maps, walking poles and rucksacks are available.

If you wish, we can arrange a mountain guide or take you by shuttle to the starting point.

Mountain tours & via ferratas

The Dolomites are one of the classic climbing regions of the Alps. For those looking for more than a simple hiking trail, there is plenty to discover around San Cassiano: the Kaiserjäger Path at Lagazuoi is secured and leads across exposed sections – challenging, but with panoramas that make every step worthwhile. The Pisciadù via ferrata is one of the best-known routes in the region. And for alpine climbing, the Dolomite walls around Alta Badia offer routes for every level of difficulty.
