Surrounded by the Dolomites

In San Cassiano, you do not simply look out at the Dolomites – you are right at the heart of them. Lagazuoi is so close that from your balcony you can make out every crack in the rock. In the evening, the peaks briefly glow orange and pink – the “Enrosadira”, as the Ladin people call this spectacular play of colours. Then everything falls quiet. And you understand why this mountain landscape was declared a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site in 2009.

250 million years in the making

250 million years ago, Alta Badia lay beneath a primeval sea. The rock formations of the Dolomites tell this ancient story – and so does Lagació. Collected over decades, remarkable specimens are now displayed in cabinets beside the suite doors. Megalodons, Bellerophon, Claraia and ammonites offer a glimpse into a world of life forms from a time almost impossible to imagine. The building itself reflects the history of its surroundings: old wooden beams on the façade and balconies inspired by traditional mountain hay barns. A house deeply rooted in its place.

Built with care

Three floors, three types of wood: Swiss stone pine on the first floor, larch on the second and spruce on the third. Alongside natural slate, clay, loden and linen – all sourced from the region and crafted by local artisans. Materials that bring a sense of calm to a room long before words can. None of this is by chance. Sustainability is not a trend to us, but a natural extension of how we live and work. What does that mean in practice? CasaClima A-certified, making use of solar energy, high-performance insulation, a ski shuttle and the Südtirol Guest Pass, making it easier to leave the car behind. Not perfection. Simply a genuine commitment to making thoughtful choices every day.
