A love letter to Mr Autumn.
Today I felt you again for the first time. Very lightly and quietly, you crept into my morning and swept the heat of summer from my soul with your wind chill. It's so nice to have you with me again. You let me breathe a sigh of relief.
My mind and body want to pause.
I want to give space to rest. Give your and my beauty the framework it deserves. I want to run over all the mountains and race the wind and then I want to sit and be and marvel and look into the distance. Back to the day after tomorrow. Forward to yesterday. Give me a hug, my favourite. Hold me tight. So that I can dream of your colours in the white, cold nights. Of your steel-blue skies and yellow-orange-brown forests and the deep grey clouds that wrap themselves around the mountains on some of your days. These moments are especially dear to me, my love. Your rain is the most beautiful symphony. Then I immerse myself. Into a world of water and warmth and bliss.

With you, life melts in my mouth.
I savour you. Drink tears of happiness from paradise and let the good old days dance with fresh ideas on fine china. I grab the good opportunity with both hands and prefer to fill my mouth too full. How good you taste, my favourite! How beautiful you are. How beautifully quiet. The silence becomes deafeningly loud when you plunge headlong into the panopticon of a thousand shades of yellow and brown. I fall. Back to the cosy. I feel as if my heart is coming to rest with every step I take. Only you, my autumn, are to blame for this.
