St. Kassian/San Cassiano:
a vacationer's dream at the heart of the Dolomites
At 1537 m above everyday life, surrounded and sheltered by the lofty peaks of Conturines, Lavarella and Lagazuoi, relaxation is the order of the day. Less turbulent than the tourist meccas around Corvara, St. Kassian, a small but elegant Alta Badia village, boasts stylish shops, cafés and two Michelin-starred gourmet restaurants. The summers are dedicated to hiking and mountaineering, with renowned trekking routes and theme trails starting directly outside the village. Winter attractions include the nearby Alta Badia ski carousel, the Armentarola cross-country skiing centre and the Piz Sorega natural toboggan run. Throughout the year, nature lovers will enjoy the exhibits of the Pic’ Museo Ladin in the village centre, which features historically significant fossil finds from the Dolomites.
